White Sox showing late interest in Damon | whitesox.com: News

I'm not sure how I feel about this move.
I don't buy it, a few weeks ago Kenny poopoo'd that Damon would be coming to the Sox...

Count the White Sox out of the running for Johnny Damon or Hank Blalock, says Scott Merkin of MLB.com, since both are too costly for the limited space left in the team's budget. When asked about the possibility of Damon in Chicago, Sox GM Kenny Williams rhetorically asked, "Who is his agent?"
Methinks this is Boras playing with the market to get the price up, which is fine with me, considering how much I dislike everything Detoilet.

I'm sorry, you peed on...?
On the corpse. My question is...
No, my question. I get to go first. Why in pluperfect hell would you pee on corpse?

White Sox Opening in Fantasy League

Hello,

We have an opening in an AL-Only Keeper League. Each year the Hometown Baseball League (HBL) has 8 teams, and each owner is tied to one AL team. At the moment, the fantasy team corresponding to the White Sox doesn't have an owner for 2010.

Some details about the league:

The HBL is an 8 Team AL Only League. The starting roster spots will be C, 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, OF, OF, OF, DH, SP, SP, SP, SP, SP, RP, RP. There will be six bench spots, meaning the active roster will consist of 22 players. There will be two DL slots available, and the DL slots are not considered active roster spots.

There is a 162 game limit for position players, and a pitching team inning limit of 1,200 innings. In order to qualify for the league title, a team must reach the pitching innings limit.

This will be a four category Roto league. The categories for hitters will be On Base Percentage and Total Bases. The categories for pitchers will be ERA and WHIP.

You give me a list of the 16 players you want on your HBL team. 15 of the players must be from your affiliated AL team and the 16th player will be your keeper. Your keeper player must be from an unaffiliated AL team and have been on your HBL team’s roster at the end of the 2009 fantasy season. The choice for your keeper is Brian Roberts or Grady Sizemore.

In March (date yet to be determined), we will hold an online draft to fill the 6 remaining roster spots for each HBL team. During the six-round draft, you can pick any of the remaining AL players from any AL team. Because there are 8 HBL teams and the draft is 6 rounds, the live draft should not take very long, as only 48 selections need to be made.

During the season, you'll be able to pick up free agents whenever you want from any AL team.

The draft order is based on your affiliated AL team’s 2009 finish in real-life, and not on your HBL team’s performance during the 2009 fantasy season.

In this year's draft, the Chicago Lincolns (the name of the White Sox team) pick first.

The league is free, and you don't have to pay to join.

hooray for more white sox fans I was at boot camp for much of the winter (thanksgiving to end of jan) and thus missed most of kenny's wheelings and dealings, although it seemed like a classic kenny winter. I like most of the moves he made, jones could potentially be a great bargain for only 500k and vizquel will be a great clubhouse guy. I am a big fan of kotsay's versatility and PH prowess. Putz is a power arm in the pen, which is never a bad thing. Pierre to me is similar to the scotty pods trade in the winter of 04/05.
