Possible to play discrete single historical or projection-based seasons?
I recognize the format I'm first asking about would not take advantage of many of the features of OOTP, but I'm wondering if I could, for starters, take advantage of OOTP's interface while playing what is essentially a discrete, single historical season, much like you'd play with Diamond Mind, Strat-O-Matic and some of the other older baseball simulations. Also, I've read posts here about people creating their own databases. Along those lines, and as I am particularly a fan of playing "projection disk" type seasons, would you be aware of anyone who has created a current-season type database using projections from forecast systems along the lines of PECOTA, ZiPS, CHONE, etc.? Put even more flatly, would it be feasible for someone (like me) to quit playing projection-disk seasons with, say, Diamond Mind, and have a similar experience with OOTP, while taking advantage of OOTP's considerable user interface advantages? Thanks.

I know it's possible but I've never done it so I'm not sure of the optimal settings but look around, I believe it's called replay in the game.
