ISS 367 : Write report only writes one page

Version 10.2.16 on Windows XP. Solo custom league.

When using the write report to disk feature, the game only writes out one page of the report. This problem was reported in version 9 as documented here. I have the preferences set on scroll bars, but the problem continues.

I suspect the problem has to do with a large universe (works fine with smaller universe). I currently have a 60 team, 5 levels of minors and 210 team feeder leagues example file I'd be glad to upload if you wish.

This problem persists in version 10.4.31.

If this problem was closed with the solution of "use scroll bars", then it needs to be re-opened because that solution only works with small leagues. In larger leagues, the draft and free agent screens go to paged mode rather than scroll bars, even though scroll bars are chosen in the game preferences. The problem exists in the free agents screens as well as draft screens.

This problem makes the effort prohibitive to write a report of the free agents or draftees, for example to analyze the data.

Can you use the filters to get a smaller file (i.e just Catchers etc.)
(tried looking into it myself...haven't got a big enough universe to cause this issue.....yet

Thanks for the suggestion...yeah, sometimes I use filters to whittle the list down. But in some of these 64 team with minors leagues, I have to be careful about how I break the list up and sometimes get duplicates and missed players in the grand total.

The whole reason I am exporting (writing these reports) the data is to do advanced manipulation on the players (more than just the simple one-field sort that's available in-game). Going through all the work of getting a big list together piecemeal a lot of times outweighs the value of the list gained.

Jmknpk2, I am sorry that the game did not perform as expected. I was able to recreate this and have created a bug report for it to be looked at for OOTP 11. It is issue #367. This might be a design decision by the development team and may not be correctable. I am going to recommend that this thread be moved to the "logged issues" section. Thank You
