In response to taf1971's request for forum members to post their utilities they use to enhance their boxing universe in the "Universe Utilities" thread.
I use two spreadsheet to aid my fictional universe. One to randomly determine if a fighter should retire for a certain period of time once they switch to 'Post Prime' and 'End' career stages. The other to determine if and when a rematch should occur for a Draw, Split or Majority decision. Both were made using OpenOffice.org Calc ver 3.1.1 as it is Open Source Software. Here is the problem, they both use macros (only to generate a series of random numbers when clicking a button) and I have altered some keyboard shortcuts. I just need someone to download and run one to see if they will work on other PC's and so I can post them in the "Universe Utilities" thread and send them to CONN CHRIS to upload on the 'Tbcb community download page'. I think I may have fixed this.
If someone (I'm looking at you zyberianwarrior) who has OpenOffice.org Calc would like to download this and give it a go and then give me some feedback it would be most appreciated. Cheers Gary |

we past smokey..saynoara.......classic...
Ok as for this interesting but you need to include the Shift+Ctrl+F9 key to generate a random result before you click on the approiate box (otherwise its the same result every time). No errors which is good and awaiting the other report you first mentioned. |

Ok third time lucky maybe.
I've updated the macro so that it should match the Shift+Ctrl+F9 Recalculate Hard. People may need to change their Macro Security Settings. Open a Spreadsheet in Calc Click "Tools" menu up top and select "Options" Expand "OpenOffice.org" and click "Security" Click the "Macro Security" button and click the tab up the top titled "Trusted Sources" Click "Add" down the bottom and select a folder you want to make trusted e.g. "My Documents" or whatever. Click "OK" to close that window and "OK" again to close the other window. Close OpenOffice.org Calc completely. Make sure "TBCB Rematch Chart.ods" is saved in/or copied to that folder you made Trusted. You only have to do this process once. Please feel free to ask questions. Cheers Gary |

Here are to more Spreadsheets I use.
Remember this has to be saved into the "Trusted folder" (See my previous post for more info) you have setup to have the Macros work in the sheet. The Special Events Chart is a remake of one Lee made a few years back, it has been posted before about this time last year but this one now has a better interface and should be easier to use.... maybe.
