Historical teams question

Hi please bare with me as I am a newbie....

I want to create a league with teams from diffrent eras as has been asked by others im sure in the past.

When I go to "add a historical team" it asks me for a data file...how do i know what to choose so that i have a choice of teams. When I pick a year and hit "refresh teams" none are coming up, what am I doing wrong?

Never mind. Figuired it out thanks....

Its asking for the database file that contains the historical team. Unless you downloaded an edited one you should have the Lahman database which comes with the game. Just check your ootp folder in MY Documents and look for the "stats" folder. In their there should be a file called Master which contains all the historical player names and debuts. Just point it to the Master file. The Lahman database has the teams and batting, pitching, & fielding stats that the game uses. You should get the hang of it pretty quick.
