Shaun: I didn't write that and my family denies any involvement (I had a strong suspect, but he denies doing it). I went to your board and entered my email ID on the lost password page and the response was that there was no account associated with my email address.

Conclusion: someone I don't know has registered on your board as Malleus Dei. Have fun with them.

Okay, you got me. I'm an anthill-kicking surly bastage who is also helpful. I give up.

I second bubba22plus idea of Non-Roster Spring Training Invitees (NRI).

Also, personally, I only play solo leagues………….so, I would like a few options for solo players. Maybe, a few options in the game that apply only to the player’s team.
I.E………A set number of players a team may acquire during season (To avoid fire sells), etc.

I wonder if, as listed the first suggestion in this thread, we will be able to export, edit and re-import all data used in the game (not just roster data, but also parks, coaches, finances, etc.) via .csv or .txt files? Many of us have been clamoring for this feature as early as OOTP 2006.

So it isn't possible that MD didn't even have an account on that site? If you can conclude that that is possible, then it also makes plenty of sense that someone else could have created an account with the same name. (who obviously knows him from here.

Believe whatever you want. But that wasn't me, and I have nothing to gain by saying so. According to the timestamps I was even at a banquet when one of the two messages was posted.

The funny thing is that I agree with both messages and they even read like I wrote them. Go figure.

Do you have an estimated time frame of when more info on OOTP 11 will be released, like screen shots, more in-depth info about the new features, etc?

I'm not Markus (Should be obvious, but given earlier posts...) but I think he said somewhere that it will be within the next couple of weeks.

I said this is a diffeent thread, but now I can't find it...

I think it would be an interesting and useful addition to the manual if you could explain some of the way the engine works (without giving up anything you consider a trade secret ). You could put them in little side notes so if people don't care they could skip it.

For example, it would be nice to know if the AI is more likely to throw a pitchout on certain counts or if it is more random. Do high steal / low speed runners get a good jump much less frequently but if they do they have a good chance of being safe (or visa versa). These are interesting and useful tidbits of information. Your other post was a great example of this type of info (the infield automatically plays at double play depth when necessary).

That would be quite useful, definitely.

Pretty simple to verify this by the ip addresses used on that account, unlike your 'brother' who was posting from YOUR computer.

Writing that up would take considerable time. Time that I do not have, unfortunately. The engine is such a massive, complex beast that I'd have to write up a hundred pages to explain what/how it does...
