Adding a Second Major League...
I'm in a 19th century league and want to add the American Association, Union Association and Players League at the correct times. What I'm looking for is the easiest way to get this done. I've been testing some ways, but just want to make sure I'm not missing anything. Couple questions:
1. When adding the league - is it easier to change teams.cvs file and create historical league, OR create a create a fictional league and individually load the historical teams? Then delete fictional and duplicate players 2. When is the best time (calander-wise) to add the league? 3. Will players from the database be loaded to the correct teams even in the new league or will I have a bunch of duplicate players hangin out in free agency? Just seein what people usually do. Thank in advance. |

1. If you change the teams.csv and have expansion on there will be an expansion draft. Pre-1901 players always go through the amateur draft. The going to the real team portion of the OOTP program does not start until 1901 so you are kinda fubarred on that bit unless you want to move them all by hand to the team you feel they orta be on.
2. By hand you can only do this operation during the pre-season, expansion occurs earlier automagically if you swing that way. 3. No duplicates are generated but there may be a lot of hanging out depending on the swang thing and your particular setup. |
