Will there be any penalties to my SP if I temporarily convert him into a RP?
I'm playing as the Yankees, and all of my pitchers are doing well. Burnett went down, and Hughes came up to fill in for him and he's pitching a 3 ERA right now throughout two-three weeks. No one, except Pettite, has an average near 4.30 ERA (that's Pettite's)... I'd rather keep Pettite in my rotation but I'm not sure what I should do...
will there be a penalty if I put Hughes in the bullpen? Or do you guys think I should just let him eat up some innings in AAA until one of my other starters, knocking on wood, gets hurt again? Thanks. |

I've never seen any negative impacts on SP->RP.
It's always RP->SP that has the issues. Of course, if they're a SP to start with, I doubt it's as big of an issue. Keep in mind though, it usually takes a couple of starts to get a RP->SP up to "full strength" in terms of pitch counts, just like real life. |
