2 OOTP 5 Questions

#1. Which stat is most valuable for determing who to put in your lineup, I prefer OPS.

#2. Does batting order spot make any difference for production. For instance will Barry Bonds bat better in 3rd slot than 8th???

1. I tend to agree. I also usually break it down to OBP and OPS when determining lineup (put higher OBP guys at the very top, followed by higher SLG.)

2. No. The calculations are the same regardless. But you will obviously see more RBI's for Barry if he's got good hitters in front of him. You won't see him get better pitches to hit with a good hitter behind him, though. And there isn't a psychological factor to where in the lineup a guy is hitting or anything like that.
