Sukothai has fought only once for the BW Title, losing by 3rd round TKO to Alimi Goitia. McGovern and Sukothai have met previously 6 times with McGovern leading the series 5-1.

Well,my man Castillo pulled off the surprise of the tourney thus far. Havent had much luck in these things so it was good to see a LJ fighter get a W. Castillo has been a very pleasant pick up for me and performs above his level most of the time. Well,great tourney,great recaps and a wonderful job with the league. Peace fellas.

Gushiken lost in the finals of the Season 1 EOY Tournament to Vic Darhinyan but he did win the Season 2 EOY Tournament by beating Beibis Mendoza in the final. Beibis Mendoza enters his second EOY Tournament with a 0-1 record having been eliminated from the Season 1 EOY Tournament by Humberto Gonzalez. Tellez has fought for the FLY Title once, losing by 4th round TKO to Vic Darchinyan. In their only other meeting, Yoko Gushiken defeated Candido Tellez back in Season 1 by 12-round unanimous decision.

I have a universe and just recently had a 10-7. What bothers me is there will be 2 knockdowns in a round and it is still scored 10-9 in many cases.

He won the HW Title from Earnie Shavers (W-TKO1) and lost the belt to Lee Ramage (L-M12). Schmeling was then traded out of the Silver Conference after the loss to Bonner Springs Bald Beavers and has not had another opportunity to fight for the HW Title. In 3 consecutive EOY Tournaments, Schmeling has a 5-1 tournament record. These write-ups are taking a bit longer than I expected. I kind of rushed to get something posted today and just ran the HW Quarterfinals w/o an official preview post. In order to try and move things along, I won't be posting the previews for the rest, but will continue the expanded writeups.
