What does tendency mean in the team power rankings? What are the symbols in the column?

Look at last weeks rankings (in brackets). Note Honolulu went from 6th to 1st. Rochester went from 13th to 5th.

That's all there is to it.

I m not sure we are on the same page. I understand the brackets and what rankings the team had from last week to the current week. But where does the "tendency"(circled above) column with '+' and 'o' play into it. Thanks for the response but I still unsure of what it means.

edit: does it mean a team is ring'++' or team is in simialr place '0'?

I understand it now..

I believe it means current streaks: number of losses or number of wins that the team has just had.

From what I can tell:

++ means a team jumped 3 spots or more in the power rankings
+ means a team jumped 1-2 spots
o means no change
- means a team lost 1-2 spots
-- means a team lost 3 or more spots

Yes, it's based on wins and losses, but also team ERA, team batting average and I think Pythag record.

It's an arbitrary "power" ranking.
