Crash on save causing weird stats

My game crashed at about the 86% mark of saving on exiting. I had just played a couple of months worth of games and was resigned to starting again. When I reentered the game the season W/L totals and standings reflected the beginning of my session but the stats of all the games I had played and lost were still credited to each of the players. This is going to stuff up my season totals and generally ruin my enjoyment. What can be done to get rid of the offending data and reinstate normality??

I have included a screen shot to show what has happened notice that the last day pitched is a repeat of one 3 or 4 previous and everything in between is blanks.
