Earned runs not showing up

I have screen shots of what appears to be a glitch causing a pitcher not to be charged with earned runs he should be, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get the pictures to appear in this post. What do I do to show you the problem?

If you want to do it with a picture, you can Ctrl + Print Scrn, then open MS Paint (comes with Windows) and paste and save as jpg file. Then attach the picture in your post.

Thanks for the heads up. I was trying to save as bitmaps and it wouldn't let me. Anyway, take a look at the inning in question, the bottom of the first, and tell me why the pitcher (Bryan Orr) wouldn't have been charged with 2 earned runs.

It's a known bug. When a run scores and the 3rd out is made in essentially the same play, the game doesn't charge the pitcher with an ER. Plus, as you can see, the inning results summary in the game log is incorrect. I don't expect a fix for this earlier than OOTP11.

This bug really sucks. It should not be too difficult to fix in the next version. A flag needs to be set that runs have scored prior to the third out on the play. This will add up to a lot of runs not being earned over the course of a season......

You have your own idea of what "a lot" means, I'm sure.

As a practical matter, it doesn't add up to much on a per pitcher basis. My guess is that an SP might get 1-2 of these in a season.

There are a couple possible reasons why Markus did not do something about this in one of these patches, but I'd just be speculating. I'm sure he doesn't regard it as trivial.

Thanks for feedback, guys. I just happened to notice an inning or so later that the starter hadn't been charged with earned runs.
