problems with crash and uninstalling the game

We’ve been playing OOTP 10 since it came out and have the updated version with all the patches. After the 8th season and shortly after installing patch #4, the game crashed. It would not bring up the game, the back up or the template we set up. I kept getting the gray error message “OOTP has a problem and needs to close”. After trying different ways of getting the game I decided to try an uninstall and then get a fresh reinstall. I looked for the uninstall program in the main program folder and my documents and didn’t find it. I checked Add and Remove Programs and OOTP 10 doesn’t show up there at all. I did a computer search and no uninstall program for 10 was found. Going on line, I was directed to use the Start, All Programs, and look in the OOTP folder. Well OOTP 10 does not show up there but there is my OOTP 9 and inside that folder there is Tools, OOTP 9 Manual and an application icon for OOTP 9, but no uninstall for that either. Is it possible that I got a bad install even though we’ve been playing for months? Or is my computer messed up? Can I, should I just try to reinstall over top of it? Any help out there? Thanks

I am using an HP Media Center PC
Windows XP SP2
2 GB Ram
2CPU 6400 @ 2.13 GHz

crash

I have encountered the same problem since yesterday afternoon. I experienced a power loss while the game was on and have been unable to access any formerly included database since. I tried uninstalling and re-installing, but the Microsoft message keeps coming up. The game seems ready to start a new game but no old databases are accessible.

In my case I have the databases backed up on another hard drive, but because the game will not uninstall properly I am unable to reload because the old (corrupt?) files are still on the computer. Can anyone help?

Still Nothing

I have tried uninstalling andreinstalling the game, deleting the league files and uploading from the websites and I am still hitting the "OOTP10.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close" wall whenever I attempt to open a database. Has anyone else had this problem?
