Amateur Player Draft-Feeder Leagues
What are the odds of a pitcher coming from feeder HS and College leagues with 2 pitches developing a 3rd pitch?
Thank you. Bum |

So, taking one as your first pick in the draft is a questionable proposition? Would HS kid be more likely to develop a 3rd pitch than a College kid?
Thanks Bum |

If the guy looks like this guy, I would think about it. This player was selected 2nd overall in a hyper-competitive online league. http://www.theguba.net/news/html/pla...yer_20531.html Quote:
In my experience, I would assume so, solely because they have more time to reach the majors and a higher ceiling than most college players. More time in the minors = more time to potentially develop that 3rd pitch. Again, if you're banking on looking for these kind of players, I would shoot for those with good Work Ethic and Intelligence. Last edited by Afino; 10-25-2009 at 08:11 PM. |

Thank you for the information. It was helpful. We are 0-100 but I don't think one can surpass 100...Stats and potential out of this world but only 2 pitches...ack!
