Vets help please, transfer team colors to new league?

Is there an easy way to transfer just the team colors from an existing league to a new league?

copy/paste a .dat file? another file?

I'm trying to avoid having to re-enter manually team by team all the team colors again...

What you can do is save your old league as a template and then create your new league from that template. You should have your team colors. You would however need to select your logos, team uniforms again..unless they already exist in the appropriate folders.

What I normally do is name my logos with the desired team colors just in case I want to use that logo for any future team.league creation i.e. "logoname_000000_ffffff" which would give you black and white team colors using that savename pattern.

Thanks! That worked perfectly... saves a lot of time.

Caps, Logos, Jerseys no problem, in separate files already (although most of that transfered as well). It was just the team colors I couldn't figure out...

It would be nice to be able to import team colors and other setup-type things with some sort of import rather than having to manually input them all. It gets tedious with a big league having to do each other the many teams colors one-by-one.

I believe you can save your logos, jerseys, and cap logos with the colors in the filename and they get imported correctly. One of the historical jersey sets have them named that way. I don't remember which one.

Check out the manual. I believe I saw it in there, too.

This is true. I save all my stuff that way. There are readme.txt files in the main OOTP logo, jersey, and ballcap folders that describe the format that needs to be used.
