There should never be a final patch.

I've seen games being patched years after release. What's wrong with making your game better? Not everyone can afford buying the new version every year. Doing this for your customers brings you a lot of respect and great reputation.

i have downloaded the Linux patch. I have set the file (ootp10linuxpatch.bin) as executable. I clicked on it and nothing happened. What do I have to do to get it to run?

tried to download the patch but it won't install for me. the install button is greyed out when it gets to the page where you have to locate the game file. mine is in the default location (prog files) but even when i click the default location button, still greyed. i manually located the files (did all files just to be sure) but still greyed. any solutions?

I got the installer to work. For my fellow Linux users, here is how to get it to run. From the command line:

chmod +x ootp10linuxpatch.bin
./ootp10linuxpatch.bin

Do not put a space between the "/" and the filename in the second command. That is what I was doing wrong.

It's basically a two man team that does the bulk of the coding. If they spend their time patching previous versions they won't have time to work on new versions. If they don't work on new versions they have no income and will go out of business.

I got this too when I tried to cut and paste my license. When I typed it in, it worked.

Hmm, cutting and pasting the key worked fine for me with the Mac version.

I have Mac OSX 10.6.1 and when I go into the installer the "Install" is grayed out, I can't click it. So I got rid of OOTPX and tried to reinstall the whole thing to see if that worked. But it didn't. What can I do? The button is grayed out, it won't let me install...

Did you try repairing the disk permissions with Disk Utility?

For some reason my game just freezes and crashes, I even tried uninstalling and re-installing. It says this program crashed before so its been flagged and is being put on original settings then it closes the program.

I'm having the same problem where the install option is grayed out. I tried using disk utility repair file permissions, but its still grayed. what file should i be pointing to? maybe thats the problem

Nevermind, I reinstalled ootp and it worked fine.

Work without any problem for me, but I own the PC version so if you have another version I can't tell.

BTW : Is it something new with this patch that we see the player field position in the batter box? Never remarked this before

Thanks Marcus. I echo Snnort's sentiments and our league is awaiting the official 'go' to all 24 GMS to download the latest patch so we can resume our latest season.
