Assigning Imported Player to a Team

Simple question from a simple mind. I know how to create teams (without players). And I know how to import historic players. Now, how do I assign these imported players to specific teams?

In the Editor tab of that player's profile (you have to be in commissioner mode) there are a couple of drop down boxes on the left hand side. One is for the league and the other is for the team. Simple as that.
