Anybody still using OOTP 8 ?

I have seen leagues for this version almost dry-up to nothing as most people have since gone on to 9 & 10 -

Is there still anybody that uses 8 (or would use 8) to play in a league ?

The league start-ups or call for openings is thin in this section

Just looking for some ideas who is still out there using 8

Anybody still using OOTP8?

I just recently downloaded the free version, and am slowly trying to pick up the game. I would lovbe to be in a league later on when I learn what i`m doing. Right now i`m just playing the Brooklyn Dodgers 1950 season. Having a tough time with some of things so far. I am having trouble sometimes just playing the schedule from day to day. What is the easiest way to click on the game for that day to manage? I guess I`m an old senile dummy when it comes to figuring things out.

I think the easiest way is to go into your manager homepage and find your playing options.

Quick-play today
Quick-play to scheduled event

Play today <---- (this is it)

That should take you straight to the next game of your Dodgers' schedule.

I just downloaded it myself but I have simmed a few seasons.

I'm also a Dodgers fan.

Ciao,
John

Scheduling All-Star Game

Does anyone know how I can have OOTP8 schedule the All-Star game when I want? I have two leagues right now; MLB ('07 season) and British Baseball League ('03 season). I have the 8th of July in '03 for the BBL, but whenever I go to the schedule screen, the game has it on 22 June. I have deleted the schedule and regenerated it but to no avail. The MLB season has the same date. Thanks for any help.

I just started playing OOTP 8 as I had not even heard of them game until a few months ago. I downloaded the free version to try out before diving into OOTP X. Only played it for about an hour or so and still trying to take in all the depth the game provides.

I'd love to join an online league later on down the road.
