Installing ballpark, player picture, and logos for my historical league.
Hi everyone:
My name is Scott, and I am a long-time recreational sports simulation gamer (also playChampionship/Football Manager for Soccer, International Cricket Captain, and Strat-O-Matic Baseball and Basketball) who just discovered and purchased OOTP X, and am enjoying the game greatly so far. After perusing the boards, I downloaded the historical player picture, logo, and ballpark picture files and have them stored on my hard drive. I am going to start a 20th-century historical simulation beginning with the 1901 season, and would like to know the procedure for how to import those pictures into my game. I downloaded the files I'm trying to import from the Padresfan's Mod website at OOTP Photopacks. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me, and it's nice to be here. ![]() --Scott |

Before you start your league, follow these instructions...
Player photos: 1. Download photo pack(player photos) 2. Unzip/unpack into (Windows Vista) C:Users\yourname\Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 10\photos (Windows XP) C: Documents and Settings\yourname\My Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 10\photos Team Logos: 1. Download logo pack 2. Unzip/unpack to (Windows Vista) C:Users\yourname\Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 10\logos (Windows XP) C: Documents and Settings\yourname\My Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 10\logos Then start OOTP, create a new game and OOTP will automatically load matching names with their logos and player photos. If any team logos are missing, you can go into "Options and Ballpark" and click "Edit team colors, logos and uniform"(in commish mode!), click "Load" and locate the above folders. Find the matching logo and click 'O.k.' Hope that helps!

Thanks for the help. I've extracted the files to the folders that you delineated above, but the game is still not recognizing them and I'm still getting the generic photos, logos and parks. I was able to manually edit the logos and the ballparks, but the player photos still aren't being recognized. If it helps, there was no "photos" folder in the directory you mentioned above...I had to create one. Any other suggestions? --Thanks, Scott |

Scott;
I found that if the photos do not show after you import them (per Fidel's instruction), exit the game, check that the photos that have imported match the players name, i.e. Al_Pratt.jpg is one of your ball players of your era, and open up OOTP10. If for some reason that you do not have a folder "...Out of the park developments\ootp baseball 10\photos", you may installed them in a different location than the default. If you have, and do not have the "photo" folder, create one and unzip the .jpg files there. Dave |

Exactly what Dave says. Player photos and logos will not show up in leagues created before doing the above steps. After extracting the player photos, make sure they are really in there, and not inside sub-directories. If you actually see them there, startup OOTP X and create a new historical league. Player images and logos should be imported.
