Professional Baseball Replay League
1966 Hall of Fame Ballot

League Home - Hall of Fame - League History

Eligibility Requirements: Players must have spent a minimum of 10 seasons in the major leagues. There is also a five year waiting period before any retired player can be placed on the ballot and a player is only eligible for the 20 years following their retirement. RESULTS!

Code:
Harnden 13 100.0% Inducted!
Galen 12 92.3% Inducted!
Aarons 11 84.6% Inducted!
-----------------------
Shanahan 9 69.2%
McCrory 8 61.5%
Peoples 7 53.8%
Saint 6 46.2%
Johnson 4 30.8%
Bellisimo 4 30.8%
Lava 3 23.1%
Thorogood 3 23.1%
Shaftoe 2 15.4%
Archibald 2 15.4%
Loberger 1 7.7%
McCoy 1 7.7%
Cockburn 1 7.7%
Upchurch 1 7.7%
Frobisher 1 7.7%
Tate 1 7.7%
-----------------------
Conway 0 0.0%
Kowalski 0 0.0%
Wonder 0 0.0%
Harnden and Galen are unanimously elected, surprising in Galen's case considering he was on the ballot last season and didn't even get the necessary 75%. EDIT: Nevermind, Galen missed an unanimous selection by one vote.

Also, our first NNL-only player in inducted: SP Bob Aarons, the career NNL ERA leader. However, fellow NNL-only player, 1B Theo Peoples, fell a few votes short. He will have four more chances at induction via this ballot.

Conway, Kowalski, and Wonder fall to the VC. The later two were staples on the Pirates' squads of the 1950's, but get no help from the homerism factor as even the Pirates GM didn't vote for them. Ethan Tate and Joe Saint also fall, with the eligibility dried up.
