Help Richmond Name its new AA team!

Here's the newspaper article from today's front page. If you read closely, you'll notice the name has likely already been picked. But vote anyway, this is America!

Go Flatheads! Logo should be a mix of a screwdriver and a fish.

Which do you think is the one already chosen? The Richmond Chief Operating Officer Todd Parnells?

Curious, because I couldn't figure it out.

Just a note, I hate the Montgomery Biscuits. If we need to have more high-calorie fatty food items as team mascots, I'll be sad.

I've been stress eating from work. I don't need any menu suggestions from minor league baseball.

Mmmmmmmm. Hambone.

I personally would love to see what the Flying Squirrels logo would look like.

Cross marketing with Rocky from Rocky and Bullwinkle could reap massive profits.

If it was up to the Internet, Richmond Rollers would win.

I dont' know which one it is, either, but the comment about 'not necessarily the winner' makes me think they've made a choice already but want some pub.

On the local radio driving home, they interviewed Parnell. I got the impression it is going to be Rhinos or Flying Squirrels because those names offer the best marketing possibilities, according to him.

Parnell mentioned Hambone comes with its own song already, but he seemed more taken by the idea of a hat with a rhino horn.

It was, and it lost in the first round. These are the finalists.

If these are the finalists, I would hate to see the rejects. Jeez, it's just embarrassing...

You need better glasses, my label says "Hall of Famer."

IRL I played college and semi-pro ball, but never played in the minors. I could see in college who among the guys I played with was going to go on to make it in the pros and who wasn't, and that I wasn't one of the one who was going to make it.

On the linked site somebody suggested the promotion "Bust a nut with the Flying Squirrels."
