Question How do I change Rule 5 Draft eligibility?

I'm currently playing a modified version of the MLB Quickstart (I immediately expanded the league to 32 teams). When I check to see if a player is eligible for the Rule 5 Draft, I see:
-- "Ineligible(less than 5 pro years)" if the player signed at age 18 or younger
-- "Ineligible(less than 4 pro years)" if the player signed at age 19 or older

According to this page of the manual, these numbers should be 4 years for age 18 and 3 years for age 19+.

I am trying to increase player movement in my league so I would like to lower the Rule 5 Draft requirements back to 3/4 years. I can't find the setting in the league setup pages to do so.

Any ideas?

I think what's happened there is that the manual wasn't updated to reflect the numbers used in the game.

The eligibility for the real-world Rule 5 draft was changed from 4/3 yrs for 18/19-year-olds to 5/4 yrs for 18/19-year-olds as a result of the most recent CBA between MLB and the players' union. OOTP was updated to match that change, but it seems the manual's numbers were not revised.

Ooh, thanks. Is there still anyway to modify the setting on your own?

I wish I could edit these as well. With practically everything else customizable, it would be nice to be able to scale the rule 5 draft settings to match the size of your league's minor league.

I have one league where players are actually eligible for minor league FA before the rule V draft (it is a secondary league to my real major league). It only has one level of minors so I feel like a minor league FA period of a couple years is more than sufficient. I like keeping the minor league FA settings where they are, but I feel like I could keep less talented players for hitting minor league FA if other teams could draft some of these for their squads.
