One more question
Do most people play OOTP where you simply watch the games and manage your rosters or take full control of a team and play the game ?

This gets asked a lot. Gameplay is divided pretty evenly amongst the forums, IIRC. In some leagues I play out every game, in some leagues I sim one day at a time, in others I sim a week or a month at a time.

So far, I play out all my games. Mostly via 'one pitch', but i switch to single pitch sometimes in important situations.
Thing is, at the rate I progress the season, I may never see the effects of trades I have made, etc. So, It's a difficult choice to make, at least for me. |

I used to sim one day at a time. But I soon found I hated the way my manager handled my pitching staff. My solution was to tweak the team settings to have my manager do very little in the 1-3 and 4-6 innings then start the game and have it sim until the 6th inning and manage the rest of the game myself. I typically stick to one pitch. But will sometimes switch to pitch by pitch in a key situation with a fast guy on base. It's kinda the best of both worlds to me.
