Question about managing all teams

I am playing as the GM for all the teams in a historical league. I have it set up to not allow AI roster changes and I control all teams. If I ask the AI to set up the organization it sometimes releases some players. I want them to set lineups and promote and demote but not release anyone. Is this possible?

Thanks

I've been looking for a way to do this myself, but I really don't believe there is. Not quite an expert on the game, so maybe one with greater experience can shed some more light.

You could click through each team asking the manager to set all depth charts and lineups. That would be time consuming but would certainly prevent the issue.

That won't effect promotions/demotions, however....

It looks like going thru each team and asking manager to set lineups is the only way I can see to do this. I will have to promote and demote myself. I will still have fun it will just take a lot longer to complete a season.

Maybe this is too obvious, but are you aware of the settings in manager options to allow computer manager to make rosters, etc.?

Can the AI be set to demote and promote w/o a tendency to release?
I always play as GM and Mgr of all teams. I do take the time to set the rosters, lineups and pitching roles, one team at a time. I'm currently playing an historical 1969 season and running through the 24 teams can be done in one good sitting -a few hours at the start of the season. As the season moves on, I will monitor and fine-tune periodically. It must be noted I do turn off financials and use reserve rosters w/o minors.

I can imagine it would be a real challenge to GM and manage every team in a full league. plus multiple levels of minors - with financials.

Different approaches for different folks with this game. That is the beauty of it.

I am sure that there is a setting to have the AI set lineups and depth charts and a different setting for roster moves. These settings are under the manager options tab.

I edited my post, after realizing I didn't quite read the original question so well. Thanks

Yes there is. There are separate selections for minors and MLB too. See the Manager Options page.

Edit

Oops, sorry Pirates Fan, you already said it all. Not sure why I didn't read this properly.
