Database::Load_Database - could not load the names file

i loaded the latest patch today

i started with the 1901 season and was half way threw the season when while saving the game the it froze and would not save and i had to task master out, when i tried to load the game i recievd the following

Database::Load_Database - could not load the names file

my back up did not work saying there was no world data, so i started another league and the samething happen again the game froze while it was saving

i dont know if i should wait for another patch or not, it sucks playing all those games to lose them all and start over

did not have this problem before the latest patch

is anyone else experiencing this

i am backing my data, but it is not restoring them

is there a fix

i dont want to start another league until the issue is resolved

i put in a lot of hours that got zapped just llike that

i did the backups and it did not work when i tried to restore it

the same thing happen this morning

i started a historical league, but this time i let the computer take
over and 1/2 threw the season, the game froze while saving it self and
the data became corput

is this happenning to others

I had a similar problem after dowloading the patch - I couldn't start a new game because it couldn't access a world data file. It turns out I never downloaded the patch properly - I didn't close out the game before downloading it (doh!). Once I did it right everything was good.

all of a sudden, this happened in my NABA (Skydog's league) file today. I've had the new patch for a number of days.

Can I send the file somewhere? I'd really like to not lose this league. I've never backed it up.

This issue has already been logged here as issue 3422, and we don't yet have a resolution for it.
