Is there a setting preventing the computer from bringing up virtually everybody from AAA at the start of Spring Training? When that happens and you try to send them back down at the beginning of the season those players that are out of option years have to be put on irrevocable waivers and you risk losing them. Any ideas?

The computer brings up all players who are on your 40-man roster. The reason for this is that in the MLB a player who is on the 40-man is considered "optioned" whether he plays a day at the Major League level or not. (This is my understanding of it anyway, no promises on the minutia of MLB rules.) In other words if a player is out of option years, you have to put him on the 25-man or put him on waivers, just like in real life.

If you would rather play without this rule, you could turn off waivers on the league setup page.
