Game crashes at start of spring training

http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...-training.html

That thread is exactly what is happening to the online league that I commish, the SISBL.

It is an online league that we first transferred from OOTP8 to OOTP9, and then over to X, as we made the conversion from 8 to X.

Everything seems fine until I get to the start of spring training. Then the game hesitates for a few seconds, then crashes to the desktop. It happens whether using the commish automator or not.

I don't have quite the extensive knowledge that beorn had, so any help would be appreciated.

Please let me know what you may need from me... thanks!

Chris

Since I was still in "Preseason" I turned off Spring Training to see if this would allow me to advance past the March 2 date (where Spring Training was slated to begin) and it did allow me to get to Opening Day and start simulating the regular season without a hitch. So it something directly related to Spring Training, just not sure what yet.

I've also found that if I go through EVERY team and do an "Ask AI to do complete organization" it sends a ton of guys to waivers/DFA, but it allows me to advance... again, I don't want to have to do this... so any other ideas/help would be greatly appreciated

Well, I've elevated the problem... apparently there was something wrong with a particular team's roster, in this case the Oakland Athletics... so I let the CPU re-do their entire organization, and it let me sim to Spring Training finally.

I still would be curious to know why specifically this happened, I'm guessing somehow more than 40 men got onto to his active roster even though it said 40/40?

Either way, problem has been solved, thanks!

CL, sorry for the long delay in responding to you. I don't really LIKE leaving people to fix their own problems, but I'm happier when it happens than when it doesn't.

Do you happen to have an old copy of this league (pre-Spring Training) that you could FTP to us? I'd really like to figure out why this crash occurred, in case it affects others, and since you've done such a nice job of providing extra information, I'm hopeful we can find it.

Thanks,

Steve
