I think he'll be going 3rd. After Lebron and the foreign player. Not really sure how he will do though.

I expect him to be rookie of the year and a lottery pick for sure, although if the Bulls have the second pick, they may take him because the last thing they need is an inexperienced 7-footer.

No real surprise that he is entering the draft.

He will be either 2nd or 3rd. My guess is he will be Rookie of the Year, since the other twqo top players are out of high school, and foreign (darko milicec).

I think he will go 2nd in the draft, but he really should go first. Lebron plays with High School players and dominates. Carmello plays with D1 players and can take over a game.

I would have to disagree that Carmelo shopuld be first. Lebron is unbelivably athletic, can shoot, pass, rebound, basically do everything. Lebron is bettetr than Carmelo was last year. Carmelo is a better rebounder, but that is about it. I am not trying to take anything away from Carmelo, because he is incredibly good. but King James is just a little better.

I agree with you that Lebron is better than Carmello was last year but I think that Carmello will be able to contribute faster and more effiecently then Lebron. In the long run though, Lebron might be the better player.

BTW, Look at the poll on espn.com. Carmello was voted as the player that would have a better NBA career.

You kind of have a tainted view as a Syracuse fan. I say LeBron is the man and must be taken first overall no matter what. Darko Milicic is supposedly the real deal, I don't know but I gotta think anyone but the bulls or rockets would take him.

If you have a top 3 pick, I'm pretty sure you would want to take the guy who will have a better career in the long run --- Unless you are a team like the Spurs who got lucky in the lotto, and screwed the Celtics by getting the first pick. Then you take "ready now talent" to help you get in the playoffs

its a tough decision to make lebron is unbelivable and will proboally be like mike someday, but anthony can lead a team into victory, he made those players better at syracuse and now they know a winning feeling thats why i think syracuse will stay strong next year. enough about that its hard to say yes lebron was better then anthony last year but that was last year this year anthony has gone vs some of the future best also and can show what he can do. no doubt anthony will win rookie of the year next year. franchise wise i dont know in the end we will know. but i hope these two have great future in the nba but being a syarcuse fan im pullin for carmelo.

I say Anthony over Lebron. I say James is good but how many times has the media hyped someone up so much and they failed? I think that Anthony could be an immediate and longtime contributor. I think James could be a contributor but who knows how soon or for how long. He's undeveloped and I can't wait for the NBA to make a rule saying you have to be 20 years old to be drafted (supposedly next year). Did you guys realize the three guys your talking about wouldnt even be here if that rule was enacted? It would be Kirk Hinrich. LOL. Now THAT would be cool. I knew 'Mello' would leave college and I knew James wasn't smart enough to go (I've seen him speak on TV ) but I still hoped 'Mello' would stay one more year. I love college ball but hate pro. Dammit.

LeBron is so talented that he was whipping every Cavs player one-on-one when he was 17. Granted, the Cavs are awful, but at the time, he took on everyone from Andre Miller to Ricky Davis to Ilgauskus and beat them all soundly. Anthony I don't think is versatile enough to take any type of player and beat them off the dribble.

Plus he'll be a distributor his first year anyway.

I say 13 ppg, 7 rpg, 6 apg his first year. Second year 20 ppg, 8 rpg, 8 apg. Third year 28 ppg, 10 rpg, 8 apg and among the best in the NBA.

Funny what 1 year of college can do to a player I bet what happened to Carmello will make some players re-consider skipping college.

LeBron James is the first overall pick.

You don't take him number one, the world will be on your back forever. It wouldn't matter if Anthony has the better career. If James is anywhere close or just as good no one will ever forgive you.

Now I know people will say, "the media shouldn't make a decision for you." Fine, good point. But, the truth is, they do and for teams in the lottery playing in markets that are dwindling and looking to attract fans you have to bring them what they want so they can fill the seats. There's no way around it.

LeBron James HAS to be taken number one. Is he the better player? It doesn't matter anymore. The media has done their job and now the team with the first overall pick has to take him first.

IMO, Carmelo Anthony will def have the better career. It won't be amazingly better, but we may be lookin at two players that can be hyped up as the next Larry Bird vs. Magic Johnson or Tracy McGrady vs. Kobe Bryant. Two talented players with similar skills and desires.

The media should be eating this one up for the next 20 years.

I don't think that you can go by and EPSN.com poll. All that is is people voting for who they like best.
