Game Crashed But Pitch Count Not Reset

I had an in-game crash (my comp, not game) and, on restart, the game I was playing was restarted but my starting pitcher had his pitches from the crashed game counted.

That's very odd, as that data wouldn't have been saved unless the game itself saved during the crash. I've Ctrl-Alt-Del'd in the middle of a game and not had anything recoverable like that.
