BZ 3329: AI Pitcher Use
This is the first time I've seen this. AI is starting a pitcher who threw over 200 pitches the day before when it has three rested starters available. (Note: 1901 settings and 4-man rotations selected):

BTW, he wound up throwing a 134-pitch complete game without showing up as tired at any point.
Two issues here: - Even in 1901, 350+ pitches in 2 days has to count as tired - The game ignored the rotation set for that team Anyone else seen anything like this? |

Make absolutely sure 7-day rosters are not turned on.
If they are, with pitchers filled in and "sub for tired starting pitcher" off, then weird things happens. I find it best to NEVER list starting pitchers in 7-day lineups. I know why it was added recently, but I don't ever use it, especially if "clear rosters after use" is set to NO.

Thanks for the suggestion. 7-day lineups were off, btw. And just to be clear if any OOTP techies are following, this was a decision by the AI for an opposing team, so I have no ability to control their line-ups at all.

Thanks for your post, and sorry for the delay in getting back to you. The first few weeks after the release are always pretty busy around here!
This certainly sounds strange. I've logged this as a bug, BZ # 3329, and we'll ask Markus to take a look at it. Thanks, Steve |
