BZ 3327: Lost Player/Team Options on Contracts upgrading from OOTP 9 to X

Hello,

Just wanted to post an issue that I noticed when converting my league over from OOTP 2007 to OOTP 9 and then from OOTP 9 to OOTP X.

We made the switch from OOTP 2007/8 to OOTP X right at the end of the World Series in our online league... and so it was right before teams received e-mails on whether or not to execute options on players contracts who had a 'team option'.

When I switched over from OOTP 2007/8 to OOTP 9 first, all of the options were still there and pefectly fine. When I switched from OOTP 9 to OOTP X however, there appeared to be some issues.

My team, the San Diego Padres for example, had four players that were scheduled to be on 'team options' for the following season.

One of them, whose salary was going to be much higher the next season in the 'team option' ended up randomly getting that year guaranteed. The other three players, whose 'team option' was going to be lower the next season, their contract became scheduled to end at the end of the year.

The odd thing is, most other teams in the league had no issues with their team or player options being messed up, only my team (I am the commissioner of the league).

Just wanted to point it out as I don't know if there's really a way it can be 'fixed' outside of going into the editor and fixing the contracts back to how they should have been... but I just wanted to point it out so that you all were aware of the issue at hand.

Thank you!

Chris

Hi Chris,

Thanks for your post, and sorry for the delay in getting back to you. The first few weeks after the release are always pretty busy around here!

Unfortunately, I believe you're right about there not being much to do about it. Still, I've logged it as BZ 3327, and we'll see if Markus can take a look at it.

Thanks!

Steve
