BZ 2549: Arbitration Screen Displays Current Salaries Rather Than Estimates

OOTPX using patch 1.

Arbitration screen says:

"The values set by default reflect the estimated value, so you might want to offer lower amounts"

The default amounts showing are actually the current contract salaries (from checking 20+ players this seems to be the case) and NOT the arbitration estimates. Oddly, the manual's screenshot has different wording again claiming that the default figure is the player's claim.

Hopefully this can be fixed quickly

SUGGESTED FIX:

EITHER:

1) Change text to read "The values set by default are the players current salaries. You might want to refer to each player's contract information page (or the salary report) to see the estimated arbitration award for the player before deciding what salary to offer. In many cases, particularly players going to arbitration for the first time, the arbitration award is likely to be substantially higher than the current salary."

2) Re-program so that the default figures are in fact the estimated arbitration figures.

Aewin, did this happen right after you joined the team as GM, or had you been the GM for this team before the previous season ended?

I had been GM for a while. I think the default values are programmed as the current contract values not the arbtration estimates. Sorry if this is the wrong thread. Feel free to create a new thread if you want.

No worries. Can anyone confirm this behavior using version 10.2.16 before I go logging it?
