DL notifications like crazy
Ok so as I sim I get notifications that player A is ready to leave the DL. Well this guy plays for one of my minor league teams. I have the box checked on the manager screen that says to exit autoplay when player is ready to leave the DL. Before the patch it would only tell me when guys on my Major league roster are ready to come off, now it tells me when anyone, minors or majors, is ready to come off. I personally don't like it so is this a bug or is this a new feature?

It's not a bug, it was added due to many requests from users.

I think/assume you need it set so that you control the minor league rosters yourself for this to happen.
I have the AI set to control minor league rosters and the game doesn't interrupt me at all for minor leaguers coming of the DL. A good thing IMO, as obviously if I'm not controlling the minors I don't need to be interrupted to deal with them. |

I like having OOTP tell me when my MLers are ready to return from the DL, it's totally annoying to be informed when a minor leaguer is ready to return from the DL, esp. the sheer number of times it happens.
How this feature made it in the patch I don't know. But is there a way I can keep being informed about the ML DL and turn off the automessage for minor league DL? |

I love this new feature in the patch. I'm someone who manages my major and minor league teams fully so this is extremely helpful. A lot of people were asking for it. However, I do believe it shouldn't be sending you those messages if you have the AI manage all you minor league things. That would seem like a bug to me.

It should be an option that you have to click on. I think it could really push casual users away, given how many times minor leaguers tend to get injured. Really interrupts any continuity for me.

I absolutely hate this new "feature". If I have the AI controlling my minors it should control this aspect also. I like to sim a week at a time and check out my major league team. I can only sim a few days at a time now.

This I agree with. I let my minor league coaches do all the work except for releasing/signing players. I also sim until I get an injury and now it takes me forever to get out of one month. I guess I can turn the DL notifications off but I really don't want to.

Can this be logged as an issue?

Agree 100%, its been ridiculously annoying for me. I check-in on my minor leagues a couple of times a season, but have zero desire to micro-manage the individual rosters for each minor league team. |

Sure, just as soon as I figure out how to word exactly what's going on and how to replicate it.

I don't have my minors on total auto control. I click auto-manage occassional and make adjustments from there. I suppose, I can try just letting it automanage the entire minors and see if that takes away the problem.

I love micro managing. This was a great feature to add. I hated not knowing when some of my minor leaguers were ready to get back into action. Thanks.

I have the AI controlling the minors completely though... and I've never once been stopped for a minor league DL movement. |

As another micro-manager, I'm in favor of the feature, but I do see how it's getting in the way of other posters' "It's your game, play it your way" action.

It is tied to the manager option "Minor league signings/releases". If you set this to AI, the notifications disappear. I'll change it to "Minor league promotions/demotions" in the next patch...
