Import all teams from server

Sigh, another issue.

The FTP is set correctly. Whenever people upload their team export to the server, the server accepts it and I can see the files sitting there in the folder when I go to open it.

However, OOTP X does not recognize that there are any files in the server unless I upload an export from my game.

If I click to download, it just gives me errors across the board (except for the Yankees, who I uploaded myself as a test):

The most likely cause for this is having issues with two different FTP accounts that have different relative paths.

Is this perhaps the case for you? Do you use a different account for owners to upload than you use to download? If so, do they have different filesystem permissions and/or different home directory when they login?

ie: the account "owners" when you ftp with it, might automatically log you in to the directory /league/exports/ and that might be the only thing they see. So for that account, the path to the exports directory is simply /

the account "commish" when you ftp with it, might automatically log you in to the directory /league and you have access to see more directories. So in order to see the path to the exports directory, you would have to put exports/

Does that make sense and perhaps be what is messing you up here?

The file path and account is the same. The files load alright (the wrong date issue was my fault), it's just slightly annoying the files don't register correctly with the software. So it's not a big issue, nor even small since the files load and work, just an annoyance.

I think I misunderstood your problem then.

The issue you are having is when you import all files it does not see any of them unless you upload one yourself from inside OOTP? Then suddenly it sees that one and all of the rest?

Sorry for the late response. People can upload their exports to my server just fine. I can import some of them, but for whatever reason, not all of them.

Also, when I go to the Commish Panel and go to see the uploaded exports, it shows that there are none uploaded. If I click to download them, most of them will download just fine, but not all of them. Some have errors and just don't download at all.

Ok, I think I understand now does this describe it correctly?

You know the files are there as you can see them in the FTP client, but when you have OOTP try to import them, it errors out sometimes?

There was an issue in OOTP9 where this would sometimes occur and if you hit the individual team imports from ftp it would work finally. I actually tested this piece very heavily in OOTP10 and no matter what I tried, I could never get this to occur but it sounds like a similar issue to what many people had in ootp9.

The only suggestion I can give you here is to just manually download the files with your ftp client to your league.lg/import_export folder on your computer and then open up the export tracker to see if they are all there. Sometimes the built in OOTP ftp client is a bit finicky with latent or saturated connections, and you might have more success doing it this way.

I am under the understanding that parts of the FTP client will be rebuilt in the future (no idea when) which hopefully will resolve some of these type of issues that only affect a small number of people. In the meantime, give this other method a try perhaps and see how it works for you.
