Making trades in an online game

Hey guys,
I apologize for the question, because it seems really easy. I just can't figure it out. I want to make a trade, but when I got to the trade screen it says I'm not the commish. I ask the commish to make a trade for me, but he can't select my team. Is there some setting that we are missing? Is it possible for me to make the trades myself or does the commish need to do it for an online league? Again, I apologize if this is so obvious.

In an on-line league both team usually agree to a trade on a trade forum.
Then the commish executes the trade at the start (or end) of the next sim.

If the commish can't access your team through the "act as" function, then he's not running thegame as "commish". He needs to turn that ability on under manager functions.

Thanks for the help. If he is running the game as commish, could he also make a deal for my team with a CPU run team?
