BZ 3266: All-star game appears in schedule when option disabled
I'm having problems with all-star always showing up no matter if I unckeck it it league set-up screen or import a schedule that doesn't have an all-star installed in it. Any help?
dcc BTW, I am doing a historical league starting in 1871.

When is it showing up and when are you unchecking it? You may have to wait a season to see it disappear.

It is showing up the first day (1/1/71). I uncheck it before hitting start game.

Since I'm on 19th century simulation and the same thing happen in mine, I confirm that it's happen too in the follow up season (1872) and I've uncheck it too. The same thing didn't happen with the AAA league (maybe it's because the league is empty and just created for later years).

You have unchecked the "Automatically Schedule All-Star Game" and the "Hold All-Star Game" boxes, correct? And did this during the pre-season part of the game? (That's when schedule changes are best made.)
You may have to uncheck those boxes, generate a new schedule so that those new settings stick, and then import a schedule (or use the newly generated fictional schedule if you prefer). |

The problem seems to be that the game is automatically choosing a schedule for you that includes an all-star game.
I'm trying to figure out why it's doing this, but for now you should be able to work around the problem by doing the following: 1. Start a new custom game 2. Add an 1871 historical league 3. Go to the Options tab (before starting the game) and deselect "Hold All-Star Game" 4. Deselect the "Auto adjust date if matching XML schedule found" 5. Deselect the "balanced schedule" box Understanding how the scheduler works is pretty complicated, but one potential workaround is to manually build your own schedule without an all-star game, but that might be a little much. I will log this as an issue, and we'll see if we can figure it out! |
