Whole Roster Quality Dropped - ideas?

Hello All,

Just trying to get some ideas of what happened (I am assuming it's normal). I had recently started a new game (in OOTP 9), went through a whole season and began a second one. Around July of that second season, I imported the game into OOTP X.

By the end of the season, I had several ML and AAA players that were rated 4 and 5 stars (several meaning 6-7).

I ended that season and around February of the third season, I went through a full evaluation of my roster... I now have one 5-star player, and two 4-stars. What happened to all my up and coming stars?

Possible causes I have thought of:
(A) I tweaked the scouting allocations a little (upped the money by 12.5% and changed a few pct. points), perhaps it reflects better scouting?

(B) Beginning of a new season, my scout looks at my roster less optimistically?

Any ideas?

More than likely they were not really up and coming stars. If you would have "sold high" you might have been able to dump them on someone else in return for a real star.
