Hey Gforce,
I have a fantasy league team and named them the OKC Mavericks. Like the old minor league team with this logo. |

very cool. the long island one though needs to be based on the twin towers. they are the basis of the name. great job! GH |

yeah, short for Thunderbolts. Kind of a takeoff on the chargers.
Do me a favor for Sacramento...make an alternate one for the "Stingers", a takeoff on the Sacramento Bee. I may change their name. Thanks as always. GH |

Here is the old USBA Racers logo if you want to use elements of it...

Henry,
Things look good. In the game though, some of the logos are off. It almost seems like the black doesn't come through on some of them. If you go to the team setup screen, the logo on the right above the ballpark picture looks fine. But the logo in the top left looks washed out. Same thing on the free agents screen. Any ideas? GH |

Those towers look sweet man! Hey Henry, you are freaking talented, all the logos look awesome! Quick questions...my white sox logo in my game....I have the letters SOX in white and I put the background black....in the game it doesn't appear black...but rather whatever the background is (like a grayish blue)...is that the same thing GF is experiencing? If so, can you tell me how to change it so it comes in black? Thanks in advance!!

In most graphics programs (I use Paintshop Pro) you can filter out colors - but as Cuss16 said, if you lighten the logo even the slightest bit - that should take care of the problem.
All colors are expressed through 3 numbers... True black is 0,0,0 and true white is 255,255,255 with everything else falling in between (16 million color combinations). 0,0,0 is used by OOTP to show a "transparent" option so round logos, etc. can be produced. If you lighten the logo the smallest amount, all 0,0,0 pixels will be changed to 1,1,1 (or higher) which will change the transparent areas to "almost" true black (your eyes will never see the difference). ok, this is coming together really nice. I'm actually as excited about this as I am about my real league with TotalMinors (haven't started yet, but will after this weekend's update probably). I look forward to writing franchise threads as well. I haven't gotten to do the franchise following thing since back with High Heat and I miss doing it. I write by trade, but this will be writing I enjoy
![]() The league is coming together nice. Henry did great logos for me, I'm using Teflon Skies' outstanding ballparks (and hopefully coercing him into one or two league specific ones) and I've got more than 200 players of origin I know (i.e. me, my friends, family, people I work with, characters from movies, guys from my softball league, guys from the old Bases Loaded series for Nintendo, etc) to get this league started with. It should be fun. Hopefully I'll have it ready to go within a week or so, but I need to fix the player abilities first a) to set them accurately based on what scouting reports came in that thread, and b) to fix league totals overall...right now it is VERY pitching heavy. Seeing Paste from the Bases Loaded series makes my day I loved that game, even though it suffered from one big drawback (the players were way too small for the field, especially the outfield)If you guys know characters from the original Hardball series or others I can add, feel free. The more characters in this game I know at the start will help me really get into it early. An aside here...I forget how old we were (28 now) when we played this game, but my best friend and I (Sal DeFazio, a 1B also in the set) used to play Bases Loaded and Baseball Stars all the time. Well he used to be the Texas team I think it was all the time, because he loved this pitcher named "Unel". Sal called him Unel Sims, used him virtually every time. OK, so I remembered that someone had done a Bases Loaded roster set for High Heat, as well as a Baseball Stars set. I load it last night and am looking through names, trying to recall the familiar ones. And there I see "Unel." I bust out laughing (fortunately the wife was asleep because explaining this ridiculousness to her likely would have led to sleeping on the couch) remembering my buddy going crazy about Unel Sims. Needless to say he will be a stud in this league (along with the one pitcher in that game I threw a no-hitter with, Quinta from the Utah team; and my brother's favorite, Lep, who in the Chris Berman tradition was called "Take A Flying" Lep.) Thanks to all of you for helping with getting this set up. I'm already enjoying it! GH |
