Stupid Question
Hey everyone,
I'm probably classified as new to the game (haven't played since STB 2003). So please forgive me as I try to adjust myself into learning all the new stuff! I have tried to browse the boards a bit and glanced over the online manual, but have limited time to really seek out my answers, so I hope some kind person will help me here with some questions. Plus I'm a hands on learner and usually just follow what someone tells me in quick steps: I saw the spot to create a human manager and I created myself. I took a job offer in the New York Penn League I think it is. Is this the normal route to go for the game? I remember in STB that one could just pick a team and be the GM and manager of them. If I were to place myself as a MLB GM instead of a new person, I'm sure that would get me into the MLB world of running a team, but I kind of wanted to work my way up. What happens if you place it in commish mode? Do I then just pick a team and manage them? I'm just trying to get caught up and familiar again. I know I'll have a lot of learning to do with the financials and it appears in the minor leagues that one doesn't touch that. Is the main plot supposedly starting in the low minors and working your way up to a MLB GM position? Is that when you touch all the financials and truly see everything of the game like trades/FA's/arby/Rule 5, etc? I'm grateful for any help! It helps somewhat I remember STB 2003, but I still have so much to learn. Thanks! |

Myself, I play in Commish mode without the risk of getting fired and always run a big league organization. |
