Couple of Questions...

I just set up a new world and had my inaugural draft. What I'd like to do is edit some of my players names. Is this possible? If so, how do I do it?

Also, is there a way to use the MLB world that comes with the game, but edit the league structure so I can have 15 teams in each league?

Thanks!

You need to go to Manager Options, then click on "Commissioner Mode" and then when you go to a player's profile, a new tab will appear at the top titled "Editor" and if you click on Editor you can change his name, as well as changing other things you may wish to change.

EDIT: You can use league options, then structure, to change number of teams, however I don't know what if you're allowed to have an uneven number of teams in a sub-league. Maybe someone else knows this.

Thanks for your help!

The reason I ask about the teams in the league is I just get annoyed having 16 in the NL and 14 in the AL. I'd much rather have 15\15, with 5 in each division...

I think you can have an odd number of teams in a sub-league as long as the entire league evens out, but I honestly don't know. Your best bet is to make a backup of your league and then just give it a shot.

Great....can someone point me to the correct area of the manual or talk me through how to do that? I've been blindly trying to figure it out, but haven't been able to...

I'll try. First of all, you can only do this in the offseason or preseason. When in the offseason or preseason, using the buttons at the bottom of the page, go to League Options (it's the 6th and last button next to League at the bottom). The 4th option (some may be grayed out and unavailable) on the right side of the page is to Edit League Structure, click that. On the far right there are drop down arrow buttons saying Move Team. Use them. For example, I clicked on the Move Team drop arrow by the Milwaukee Brewers and moved them to the AL Central. Then I clicked on the drop down arrow by the Minnesota Twins and moved them to the AL West, which left 15 teams in each league, with 3 five team divisions.

Note, however, that while it did let me do this and it did generate a schedule, it's kind of a funky schedule in that there are inter-league games everyday due to the uneven number of teams in each league.
