Automatically Fills active roster at Spring Training start

Hello,

I imported a Ootp 9 game into Ootp X and every time I start spring training it automatically fills my active roster with the 40 man roster. I like it if it was more Ootp 9 and let me put who I want on the active roster, because then I won't have deal with waivers when they don't make the active roster. Very annoying! Also when a player is injured, I liked it better when the game would go the player page and not the transaction page. Also when I let the cpu adjust my minor leagues, it made a bunch of my MR into SP with staminas of below 10. Is there a way to adjust these? Looks like I will be playing Ootp 9 until then.

Hi Crazie,

I can help you with this.

#1 - This is not a problem and has been designed this way for OOTP X. All players in real life on the 40 man roster are invited to ST, the same thing is happening here. This is intended to fix a loophole where you can leave someone in AAA who is out of options so he does not have to clear them after ST. In real life, even if you don't have a player come to ST who is in AAA and is out of option, he still has to clear waivers when a team announces their active roster for opening day. Now in OOTP X, you can not get around not having someone in AAA not have to clear waivers for opening day.

#2 - I believe that is more personal opinion. Most users were demanding for it to go to the transaction page so they can just make their transaction from there. That is why it was done.

#3 - When you ask the computer to control your minor leagues, chances are the AI is going to have a different opinion then yours. How low is the endurance of these pitchers it is putting in the rotation?

Anymore questions, let me know and I would be glad to help.

Thanks!

Thanks for the quick reply. I was not aware it was done like that in real life...kind of liked the loop hole, but will get used to it not being there. The lowest stamina that I recall is 6. Thanks again.

No problem my friend.

A pitcher with a 6 stanima on a 1-10 scale is definitely capable of being a starter. I use them all the time in my leagues. Especially a guy with high control, who will throw more strikes then balls. These guys probably have better ratings to their control, movement and pitch ratings so the game feels they are better then one of the starters in the rotation.

I hope this helped and I will close this out now.

Of note, any pitcher with a stamina greater than 50 on the 1-200 scale is fully capable of starting, provided that his pitch quality is up to stuff.
