my two cents - listening to RonCo on this stuff is never a bad thing - most of us have an opinion based upon our small sample set of personal experience - I have seen the detailed analysis he has done on some issues and it is hard to argue with the great work he has done to improve the game.

I think I will turn the injuries down a notch. While the injuries might be accurate now, I prefer to have to deal with less as its more fun for me. As far as feeling as though one is cheating, this change would affect all teams so its a level playing field.

Okay, quite a journey for me! Lol!
Aol, which sucks for certain things, threw my notice email in the spam folder. But thanks to Battist I secured DL today. Now I was using previously OOTP 8 so after loading up 10, I then dled V9 demo, then began the 90 minute convert to 9 then convert to 10 of my addicted home made league. Boy, worth the wait!! I love it. Normally I play with Very fast mode for a game sim. But thanks to me being such a sucker for eye candy, and thus falling in love with the widget screen. I need to go to normal so I can enjoy my in depth stats. Good lord I am hooked even more than before! No more 4 game series simmed in any hour for me! Lol! Okay, maybe the meaningless series! ![]() ONE QUESTION: and remember I didnt have V9. The scouting 'team' is now only my head scout? (From previously imported league) Instead of directing 5 scouts to tas I just thave the head with the moving scale to allocated resources a la monitary totals? |

Click the Configure Screen button on the BBN Widgets screen. It allows you to choose Normal, Big, or Very Big for the PbP/controls widget.

I set up and have begun playing a Red Sox 2009 season. So far, so good. I couldn't be happier with the experience so far...

You just give your head scout some money and divvy it up to what you feel most important and he spends it as well as he can to get you the best information he can get. He may be hiring really good scouts to check things out... or he may be handing that money over to your bleacher bums and having them make stuff up - depends on how good he is.

I'm still setting up my first season so don't have any real impressions yet, been too busy to play. I was wondering if there is a way to set rotation order to strict order for all teams, I couldn't find a setting for it anywhere in league settings.
If I manually set it for a computer AI team will it stay put and force them to go in a strict order? I assume so but haven't actually started the season yet so wasn't sure. |

Correct, there is only one scout now --- changed in v9 to make scouting less cumbersome and laborious.

That's because it's not released to the public yet. People who pre-ordered the game got it yesterday, everyone else will get the opportunity to buy it tomorrow.

If you want it to simulate an "alternate universe," the normal setting will have about the right number of guys get hurt ... just remember they won't always be the same guys who got hurt IRL, so Tony Oliva could be the ironman and Willie Mays could tear up a knee and hit 25 career HR ... |

Do pickoffs bother anybody else? It seems like Guys I would never dream of sending are getting picked off on a regular basis, and it just...feels high.

I'm doubting that the right people were picked off... but the numbers are/were correct.

New Minor League DL Quibble
A minor leaguer with a minor league contract but on the 40 man roster gets put on the major league DL. When he comes off, you can't just send him back to the minors. You have to "activate" him, which means putting him on the active roster which means he now gets paid the major league minimum.

It was well worth the extra wait for Markus to finish getting the bugs out. Now I got 12 months of sitting in front of my computer ahead of me
