That's ok. On average there should be 2-3 career enders per year in a league with 30 teams.

And the guys with broken hands being out for six months. Injuries in OOTPX are on steroids.

Is there a way for it not to be franchise players all the time?

More CEI's should be pitchers and not batters IMO. I really cant think of too many hitters have career ending injuries but I can think of quite a few pitchers.

A completely shattered hand can definitely last half a year until you can play again. The injury system work very well and is extremely realistic now.

Right, and the system reflects that.

Markus...maybe one player having a shattered hand is realistic. But three? Four?? Its absurd. And not realistic in any way. Please name any two MLB players out for six months with broken hands?

Very well! So it appears we just have another sample size issue at work in this thread.

On a side note this is a wonderful initial release. No major issues and even the fine folks at FOFC are having a hard time coming up with something negative about the game and that is saying something.

Sample size my friend. You may go 10 years without another shattered hand injury.

Bingo!

But still, I will look into the injury file, maybe I can come up with a few more ways to describe such injuries...

There are no such injuries.

Football manager hired a longtime coach to help them make the game as realistic as possible. Its time OOTP did the same thing.

It didn't end his career or his effectiveness though.

On average though, you guys have to admit that most guys with broken hands are normally out a maximum of 2 months.
