Stupid Question....
Ok, I have a very stupid question that I need to ask. First of all, I dont know if this has been mentioned before, and Im just asking this with complete ignorance because Im too tired, dazed, and confused for anything else (very bad day. hee-hee)...I want to start a season with all 30 teams (having the Mets being the only human-controlled team) with the players from 2002. I d/l'ed the Lahmen(sp?) files, and started to create a historical league with 2002. Is this the only way to create a league with those stats (so you dont have to wait for it to obtain all 1000+ players)? Im just curious. I also d/l'ed 'Rolen2002.lg'...I also d/l'ed "Rolen2002.lg" and Im not sure if I can use that for it?
Hmm......I have no clue what Im doing. Can I create a league with 2002 teams including free agents and run the team simulating games/signing free agents, etc? Last edited by NYMike; 04-22-2003 at 09:20 PM. |

Why don't you just simply wait for it to load the players?
Anyway, yes, you can use Rolen2002.lg. Just import into v5. And, yes, that league comes with free agents. Yes you can run the team, simulate games, sign free agents, etc. Not sure if I helped any, and if you still have questions, don't hesitate to ask. |

Lol. Yet another problem. The free agents come up, however there are problems like no shortstops, only one right fielder...that cant be right (or is it?). Where should I place the Rolen2002.lg file? Does that matter, cuz right now I have it in c:\unzipped.....

It doesn't matter where you place Rolen2002.lg. As long as you know exactly where you put it. So if you have it in C:\unzipped, what you will do is enter OOTP5, go to file menu, select import OOTP4 league. Enter C:\unzipped\Rolen2002.lg, and it will import.

That exactly what I did, and I even tried it twice, but there arent many free agents(the most is about 9-10 at one positions, and some positions dont even have any FAs). Is that normal? Also, there are some errors in about the first 10 names, with abnormal characters and things like that...

Sounds like you need to d/l the roster again. The number of free agents just depends(in this case) on the number that the roster maker chose to have.
