Honest Reviews Requested...
Since the 'First Impressions' thread has been hijacked into a b!tch session about injury frequency, I'm putting out a call to arms for those of you who've actually spent some time playing the game. Please let those of us who are stuck at work know what you think of the game; what's good, what's bad, what's unexpected. And then those of us(especially on the west coast where there's over 5 hours left until Utopia) who are still stuck at work, can pass the the time a little more 'productively'.
Thanks for your support. |

Thanks battists....I have those memorized by now.
Sorry, just getting a little stir crazy. I could probably go home 'sick' and it wouldn't be unfounded.......

I'm pretty happy so far. I'm simming on 2 pc's right now. One is running a fictional league with an MLB setup and full minors. It's only about 1.5 seasons in, so I can't say much about it. I also started a Japanese league, so that things would run faster and I could look at pitch ratings and development. I'm 5 seasons in on that. I'm monitoring 6 top pitchers from the amateur draft. It's a small sample size, but it's interesting to watch.
I'm watching a 19 year old stud develop 4 quality pitches by 21, but his control isn't there yet. A 23 year old with great ratings, but his change is developing slow and he's getting hit hard as a starter. I need to start watching some lower caliber prospects. There's a few odd things that I'll be interested to play with. SP's have 3-5 pitches, but some have very low stamina. MR's seem to always have 2 pitches and can have high stamina. CL's often have 2 quality pitches and a third low rated. It's odd that the MR's don't. Some have very high stamina. I'm curious to see how these high stamina RP's fatigue over muliple games. Widgets are great. New logo's are nice. I think the team home page is new, and very nice. |

There seem to be some pretty nifty AI tweaks concerning roster management in the minors and a lot of minor things that make the whole game run quite a bit smoother and easier to work with (aka less micromanagement necessary to prevent AI mistakes) than last years version.

Downloaded about 45 minutes ago. That 1920 x 1080 opening screen just makes me wanna take a 50 minute walk.

Love it so far - Being a big Reds fan I can't figure out Edinson Volquez's ratings he was one of the most dominant pitchers in the NL last year and his ratings don't reflect that. I am guessing I can fix that as I learn more about the game though. Looks good!
