The new model sounds great, however I have a couple of questions.
1. How is the model adjusted in different eras? 2. Are there specialty/trick pitches like the ephus pitch, and what about the spit ball?

There are the same pitch types that were found in OOTP 9.

I will never be able to play another baseball sim other than OOTP. Seriously this is top notch. He's to hoping it executes remotely close to reality the first go around.

How does this work in a conversion from OOTP9?
Does it just make up ratings for the pitches? Can we count on a stud/dud in OOTP9 being the same stud/dud in OOTPX? Is this going to ruin leagues that try to convert like 6.5 to 2007 did? |

How does the pitching model work with historical/fictional leagues?

This is the new feature that scared me the most. But it sounds like it was done well. But i did have a few questions based on this section:
Quote:
2. In online leagues, i use a spot starter. So in one sim, he may start a game. In another, sim he may come out of the bullpen. How does OOTP X know what ratings to use? 3. In the case of a rain delay or extra innings, a reliever may be forced to pitch several innings and go thru a line up more than once, does OOTP X recognize that the hitters are now seeing the pitcher for a second time and start treating the pitcher as if he were a starter? What will this mean for roster makers? Will they have to manually assign ratings for each pitch of each pitcher? As the game is now supposed to be able to assign ratings based on the input of stats, can this same function be used to look after the individual pitch ratings?

All I can say is wow. This sounds great. I am looking forward to working with this. OOTP is the best! I just hope it translates well to imported OOTP9 leagues.
I'm hoping for a Sunday email to download the game. |

Also, do you get an email or some sort of notice when a pitcher learns a new pitch? That would be great. I would hope we don't have to constantly search through all those players to find them. |

This is very much in the right direction, but maybe only half-way there. Perhaps XI can make the next step happen.
Go Markus!
