Checking to see how the pitch rating works; simming a few seasons to see how the pitchers that normally didn't have success due to not having an exception fastball turn out with it.

Having never played any versions of OOTP, i will look around and see how wise a decision i made to take the plunge. After years of playing EHM and finding OOTP via EHM and it's forums, I think I will be more than satisfied

For the first hour of OOTP X (which will have to wait until after I've finished writing the report cards - OOTP will be my reward), I suspect I'll be kicking the tires with the new features. Maybe I'll load up a default league, poke my nose around a bit, and delete it. Then I'll start to work on a new fictional league idea that's been floating in my head for a couple of weeks. If I do the uniforms of one team each night, they'll all be ready by the time I get X.

Try to import my semi-fictional 36 team North American Baseball League, take over my beloved Atlanta Braves, feel my way around the new interface and put the rest of my life on hold !!

I usually try to take over a hard-luck team, like Pittsburgh or the Expo, sorry, Natinals. Maybe I'll try the Mariners this time.

Same things as I do every night, Pinky ... trying to take over the world
... OK, serious answer: Importing photos and logos, then noodling around with the draft to see how the new money feature works. |

Then I'll create a conventional fictional league. Probably US-based. Then I'll create a pro-rel league to see if any of OOTP X's features make it easier to run such a league. Once I'm satisfied that the new game works well, I'll import one of my OOTP9 leagues.

You mean, besides calling in sick to work?
Making sure the template I have with OOTP9 will work, then actually completing the template. |

My first hour of OOTPX will be spent downloading and reading all the bitch threads about there not being enough servers or torrents available.
That could be worthy of some Bushmills. |

Unfortunately, I will be working 19 straight days starting Monday so I'll not be downloading for a few weeks (piss-poor launch timing for me). Then import my fictional league and get back at it come July.

I'm with ya Keith, but i'll be starting out in '78 when Whitaker and Tram were just getting their feet wet, and build from there. |

Starting my "Team to Repeat" 09 Phillies franchise.
Maybe I can find some decent SP for them.

our water just broke, so I'm going to have several hours to kill at the hospital here in a bit. Any chance we can go ahead and release this thing now?

Trading whoever and whatever to get Pujols on my team (Texas Rangers).
Then I will work on getting at least one decent starting pitcher. Probably dump the entire bullpen staff and work on getting good young prospects. Blalock will probably go for Pujols..sounds like an excellent trade right? hahaha I love that force trade button. I rarely use it except when I am initially starting my league and team. Then I use regular trade functions and on hard difficulty. Gotta have Pujols though.
