Hey there..

I will most likely check to see when is the best time to add expansion teams.. I love to take current league.. then sim a season or 2.. create expansion teams and take over one from scratch.. Just need to know when to create as to not mess up league histories...

Being very new to OOTP, I will just be trying to get a bearing on the game. I can't wait though, I can't believe it took me this long to find this series. I will be playing for hours at work for weeks to come.

For some reason I have my own office and get to use my personal laptop (so they don't have to pay for one in both cases). I've been trying to work ahead for a few weeks so hopefully I can only work for about half of my days the first couple weeks of June and play OOTP X the rest of the day!

I'm currently running a league setup with Skydog's template. Does anyone know how that would transfer over? OOTP 9.0 was my first version of this game.

Now THAT is a challenge. Good luck, though. I know several people who sim out several seasons then take over the worst team and try to lead it back to contention.

I know how you feel. I've been managing every game for my fictional team for four years using four different versions. I import it through every new version. You really do get attached to your teams. I even like to see what's happened to players I've traded away.

That's actually a pretty cool idea. Do you try to mirror/mimic reality (with drafts and rookies and whatnot) or do you just start in 77 and whatever happens, happens?

Reminds me of the time I traded Khalil Greene away. Five weeks later in September, he suffered a CEI. I was so relieved he wasn't on my team anymore since he was making 15+M a year.

I am right there with ya, I stumbled on to ootp trying to find a way to feed my baseball frenzy. After playing the ootp9 demo I am so excited to get my hands on this version.

I don't use play OOTP for anything other than online leagues, so I'll probably be looking through the WBH 2018/9 preseason stuff (guessing that's about when it'll make the move).

Download the game, install all the good mods and then start an historical replay in 1901....i sim until 1987, take the worst team, draft Randy Johnson and start playing

I'm very curious to see how the historical players are changed. I'm interested in the pitcher's having real life pitches, the new pitching system and the change in fielding ratings....

Setup a current rosters league using the Royals, then hoping one of my minor leaguers gets injured so I can put him on the DL.
