I just pre-ordered 10. I'm currently playing 9.

Looking forward to the release. I can understand the impatience of some members.

Actually, for "week" purposes, in the game of ootp-9, the week begins on Monday. Everyone knows that when you play a week at a time in the Sim, it will play all the games from Monday through Sunday and then stop on that next Monday's game.

I suspect it will be the same for ootp-x, yes?

So, the first week of June will be the first Monday through Sunday in June.

Or else it will be the first seven calender days in June.

Or else it will be something else.

Bah! Who knows?

The game will be released early next month. Sometime. Barring something unforeseen. That's about as accurate as it gets in computer games nowadays.

This debate is insane.

That said:

- Monday is the first day of the work week
- God rested on the seventh day. Why would you rest on the first day of the week and not the last?
- Sunday is part of the weekEND

According to wikipedia:

Quote:
Weekend is a term referring to two traditionally non-working days in a seven-day week.
If I have Tuesday and Wednesday off, then that is my weekend.

I dunno. The Jews worship on Saturday. If Sunday were the first day of the week, that would still mean God rested on the seventh day.

Also, the weekEND is a societal convention based on our notion of the work week, wouldn't you say?

And since Judaism is older than Christianity, that was probably the original intent. Whether that is the common use now is open to debate.

Well now everyone is just recycling my argument!

I guess if I posted more than 8 times a year I'd get more credit...

When God created the Earth, correct me if I am wrong, but there were no calendars, hence no days defined. In actuality you can chose any day you want, to celebrate the Sabbath, though I understand that many "religious" people may disagree with me.

The most important part of taking a Sabbath day is to make sure that we don't burn ourselves out.....

I chose to believe that Markus is talking about June 1-6 and since those of us who preordered will get it 2 days earlier, could we possibly get it in May!!

I dunno. God clearly created this, that, and the other thing on specific days. On the first day, thus. On the second day, that. On the seventh day, He slept in.

Just because they hadn't been named after Roman deities, yet, doesn't mean days didn't exist!

I agree there were days, just not named at that time
Not 100% sure but I have never seen the Sabbath referred to in the Bible as occurring on Saturday or Sunday....
